Open Water SCUBA Diver

    The purpose of the Open Water SCUBA course is to provide comprehensive instruction to those who desire to become SCUBA divers. Open water is typically scheduled on request and therefore structured to meet students scheduling needs. 

    Minimum age for this course is 12 for Junior certification; 15 (with guardian consent) for OWSD certification, or 18 years without.

    After successful completion of this course, one may dive without the supervision of their instructor, in the open water environment, to a maximum depth of 60 feet.


Advanced Open Water SCUBA Diver

   
     Advanced Open Water is a continuing education course designed to introduce, by means of various Specialty Experiences, a variety of different SCUBA disciplines, techniques and environments. 
 

    Some examples of the student elected experiences include the following:
EANx Diver          Night Diver           Boat Diver
  Wreck Diver         Deep Diver          Dry Suit Diver
U/W Navigator  Search & Recovery DPV Diver
 ...and many others!

EANx Diver 

       This one day course is an overview of the practical use of Enriched Air Nitrox (EANx).  Nitrox, when prudently used, can extend bottom times, and decrease surface intervals.

            Any Open Water Diver 18 years or older (15 with parental consent) may enroll in this program.

           Following completion of this program the diver may purchase and use EANx (maximum oxygen content 40%) to a maximum depth of 100 feet.

 Rescue Diver 

        Rescue diver covers, typically in a four day format, the basics of performing self-rescues as well as surface, and sub-surface assists. Focuses of the course also include basic first aid, and managing emergency oxygen equipment. It is a platform from which all aspiring Divemasters must begin.

 Divemaster

         The basis of this program is to provide a comprehensive training foundation for those desiring to take their love for sport diving to a professional level. Emphasis is placed on broadening candidates knowledge of the physics and physiology associated with diving, as well as proper methods of supervising diving activities.

        Divemaster is taught both in an “on-the-job experience” fashion, as well as a classroom setting. Candidates will be exposed to numerous responsibilities in actual teaching and supervisory situations under the guidance of a staff instructor.

        Those 18 or older interested in becoming a Divemaster candidate must possess the following:                      
                    - Advanced Open Water Certification 
                    
-   Rescue Diver certification  
                         
-    Diver First Aid certification  
                         
-     O2 Provider certification
                        
-         60 or more logged dives
